Regulations for Admission to the Three-Year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Honours, General and Major) and B. Mus. (Honours and General) Courses of Studies effective from the Academic Session 2009-2010.

Admission Qualifications:

1.A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Hons./Genl./Major) or B. Mus. (Hons. And Genl.) Course of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

However, no candidate, in general, shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognised regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Those desirous to do so may seek permission from the University Authority.

The year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.

For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours or Major Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks of top four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

2.(a) A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained:

(i)A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. In case of B. Mus. (Hons.) 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music in the pre-qualifying examination.
(ii)55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
(iii)However, if in any honours subject, the number of applications are so low that even the permitted intake of the college cannot be filled up, then the Principal may use his discretionary power to reduce the minimum requirement for admission in that subject. A written note in that respect should reach the Registrar for consideration of that decision for a final approval by the University.
2 (b) However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe Community taking up Honours Course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate and 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.

3.(a) Students, who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards/Councils or State Boards/Councils including Open Schools and vocational studies, are eligible for studying.
3.(b) No migration certificate will be needed for Registration under this University.
3.(c) Any dispute regarding eligibility criteria would be resolved by the Equivalence Committee set up by the University.

4.For the B.A./B.Sc. (Honours/General/Major) Course of Studies a candidate is required to choose his/her Honours and two/three elective subjects, as the case may be, from among Group-I to Group-VIII as follows by taking not more than one subject from any of the groups mentioned hereunder:

While Twitter Search helps you wade through this endless torrent of tweets from within the browser, Mustache Inc’s iPhone application Summizer aims to squeeze that functionality into a package more friendly with on-the-go use.
Once you’ve punched in the topic of interest, Summizer uses the Twitter Search API to dig through the database for related tweets. If you’ve got a topic that you search for more often, you can save that search for later use for the sake of sparing your thumbs. Summizer also automatically pulls down the latest trending topics from Twitter, giving you a quick and easy way to see what’s on the collective mind at any given moment. It’s currently focused solely on searching and trend watching, so it doesn’t offer any means of logging in, tweeting, or following users.

While the application currently sits at version 1.0, an update was submitted for Apple’s approval just last night. Version 1.1 introduces automatic updates, link viewing without leaving the application, and the ability to view more tweets from any user you come across. I’ve been playing with the update throughout the evening, and everything seems to work well.

At $4.99, the price may be a bit steep for the general Twitterer. However, if work, research, or just plain old addiction have you digging through Twitter regularly, the time you’ll save with the native interface and saved search features might make it plenty worth the cost of admission. Personally, I’d love to see Mustache Inc. partner up with the folks behind Twinkle (Tapulous) or Twitterific (The Iconfactory) to get this functionality integrated into one of the popular iPhone Twitter posting/following applications.

Sony claims extreme color accuracy at 104 percent of the NTSC color gamut for the base LCD; an LED-backlit screen is even richer at 137 percent of the spectrum.

The internals also receive a major upgrade and switch to a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo, a GeForce 9600M GT for graphics, twin 250GB hard drives for storage and a minimum of 2GB of RAM. The new Intel quad-core Q8200 and dual-core E5200 share a more modern 45 nanometer architecture, while the Celeron D 450 is made on the older 65nm topology. The new quad-core chip is meant as a true entry-level quad-core chip and runs at 2.33GHz with a simpler 4MB of L2 cache along with a 1,333MHz front system bus.

The dual-core E5200 will trade the extra cores for a 2.5GHz processing speed, also halving its Level 2 cache to 2MB and reducing the system bus to 800MHz. The 65nm Celeron D 450 shares the same-speed bus but uses a 2.2GHz core frequency and just 512KB of L2 cache.

In bulk, 1,000-unit quantities, the chips will be priced at $224 for the Q8200, $84 for the E5200 and $53 for the 450. No word has been given of price cuts to faster models

Sundar Pichai, Google's vice president of product management, said the name Chrome itself is indicative of the key value that Google is aiming to provide with the new browser. Chrome is the space where the user interacts with the browser in the traditional Netscape/Mozilla view of browsers. It's an area that Google is aiming to minimize for usability. "Chrome is kind of an ironic name for our product," Pichai said. Tedford recently explained the difference between a Warehouse Control System (WCS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) noting, â€œThey may sound the same, but they perform very different functions in the warehouse. The limitation of the WMS is that it doesnâ€™t link all of those areas of automation together. The WMS can download data to the PTL or A-Frames, telling them what picks are required from that area, but it lacks the ability to orchestrate the flow of material through the warehouse. It is safe to say that anyone thatâ€™s been in a high volume facility understands that the ebb and flow of material doesnâ€™t go smoothly. Therefore, if you have one section of the warehouse controlled by a material handling subsystem running at a certain rate, and another area running at a different rate, youâ€™ve created an imbalance.â€

Tedford believes a WCS help address the imbalance because, â€œWarehouse Control Systems were designed to control the warehouse floor and islands of automation. They provide the capability to route products, and regulate the workflow between areas of automation. According to WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann, who reviewed the MRI results with Cena, the injury sustained by the former WWE Champion was considerably worse than originally thought with large disk herniation.
“It needs to be dealt with because I lost most of the feeling in my right arm and am having pain in my shoulder,” Cena told WWE.com Monday night. “I’m losing 20 percent of my strength per day. If I don’t do anything about it, the injury will end up rupturing and then the surgery will be more difficult. It’s not easy, because surgery never is.”
Last year, Cena missed considerable time when he tore his pectoral muscle after receiving an RKO by Randy Orton on an announce table. He later made a remarkable return to the ring months ahead of schedule at the Royal Rumble this past January.
“It’s a different injury than the pectoral tear because that was more of a muscle injury; this is concerning my bones, which has a lot less blood flow than muscle tissue. It also has to do with my neck, which is a very fragile area,” Cena described.
“Every moment I stay away from the table is another moment something bad can happen. The disk is so bulged out and inflamed that any sudden move could make it worse.”
But when it comes to the former WWE Champion, the pain associated with this type of injury is perhaps second only to the anguish of being forced away from sports-entertainment – his home. Still, Cena recognizes what he needs to do, even if it means stepping away from the ring for some time.
“You can either do one or two things: You can be upset or pout or you can know what to do to get better,” Cena said. “I’m already in the mode of getting the surgery as quick as I can.”
He continued, “In the last ten months, I’ve really focused on functional strength training and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. My goal is to talk to the neurosurgeon about how quickly I can get back to full-throttle training and getting back into the ring. And that’s the ultimate goal – to be strong as I can and get back into the ring as soon as possible.”

Save All and Close All Commands in Word Including MS Word 2007.

In the previous version of Microsoft Word you just have to press the Shift key and hold it when you click on the File menu and the menu displays the Save All and Close All commands. This is a pretty handy trick.

But unfortunately these commands are not available on the Word 2007 Ribbon; you will need to add these commands to the Quick Access toolbar to use them.

The easiest way to do this is by clicking the small down arrow to the right of the Quick Access toolbar and selecting More Commands.

Click on Customize the left column.

Click on Choose Commands From box and select Commands Not In Ribbon

Select Close All.

And click on the Add button.

Select Save All.
